A lot of the stuff I try or use is often recommended by people I know or by me reading blog posts reviewing different items. This was no different. I was shopping with my best friend when she told me she had tried this mask. I looove facemasks but was always sceptical about this one. I believe it’s because it came across as something that would be a bit of a novelty as it was in a jar and you kind of paint it on your face with a brush.
She persuaded me to buy it though as there are different masks depending on what your skin needs. As I have mentioned many times before, I suffer a lot with my skin and the one I picked up was the ‘Blemish Rescue Mask’. I. Love. This. As I said, I was not expecting much more than a novelty product however it will now be something I will stock up on when I start to run out. You apply a thin layer to your face, I used a flat foundation brush I no longer use (clean of course) to apply mine but you can use your hands. I did find the brush just helped to get an even thin layer though.
You then leave it to dry for 5-10 minutes and wash off with clean warm water and a clean cloth. This is to be repeated twice a week. I have found this helps to even out my complexion. and keeps my skin feeling fresh for a few days after when I go about my usual skincare routine. It’s no hassle at all. Especially if you are familiar with any hot cloth cleanser as the process is practically the same you just leave it on for that bit longer. The thing I was worried about most was it would dry out my skin but it just makes it feel so refreshed and clean.
It has a smell to it that reminds me of Men’s aftershave which is strange but not unpleasant. I think this kind of helps towards the ‘fresh’ feeling it leaves if that makes sense. The other ones in the range are the ‘Bright Face Mask’ and the ‘Purity Mask’. I am now desperate to try the other ones and let you guys know how I get on. I will leave the link below for the one I purchased and the other two from Boots. These masks are also currently on a ‘3 for 2’ Deal which is another reason to go ahead and try them out. Let me know what you think if you try them out!
Until next time…
